Much of the decoration, furniture and accessories are authentic and date back to the origins of the house. This makes the Maison Tourisitique Dugas a rare example of a typical Acadian home dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. The second house ( originally the barn) was renovated to resemble the main house with its hardwood floors, mouldings and doors. The site which leads directly to the Bay of Caraquet, was developed so our guests can appreciate the beauty of our small forest while still being in town. In 1977, Martina inherited the house from her father Emile and converted the house into a bed & breakfast under the name of Maison Touristique Dugas. The 4th and 5th generation await you with a warm welcome in a friendly atmosphere for your stay in Acadia.
